The Absolute Difference

When it comes to roof installation, we don’t believe in cutting corners. At Absolute Roof & Home Solutions, we’re committed to doing things the right way, every single time.

We don’t just install roofs; we create roofing systems. That means every component of your new roof is designed to work in harmony, from the underlayment to the shingles. We follow manufacturer specifications to the letter, ensuring your roof not only performs at its best but also maintains its warranty.

Our approach isn’t about being the fastest or the cheapest – it’s about being the best. We take the time to do the job right, using high-quality materials and proven techniques. Because at the end of the day, we’re not just protecting a house; we’re safeguarding your home, your investment, and your peace of mind.

Roof Installations
1
Ice & Water Barrier: Ice & Water barrier is a composite roof underlayment designed to provide a secondary waterproofing barrier needed to prevent ice dams and damage from wind-blown rain.
2
Synthetic Underlayment: This is a synthetic alternative to asphalt-saturated felt paper. It provides a much more durable and superior underlayment for your shingle roof system.
3
Starter Shingle: These shingles are installed along the eaves and rakes, and are designed to fill in spaces under the cutouts and edges of the first course of exposed shingles. This helps to prevent wind uplift, which can damage the roof.
4
Architectural Shingles: These shingles have become a popular form of roofing material due to their affordability and durability. We make sure to use the best quality shingles the market offers.
5
Hip & Ridge Cap: Made of the same material as Architectural shingles but designed to sit on the hips and ridges of the roof. You won’t find three-tab shingles on any of our roof hips and ridges.
6
Metal Drip Edge: The drip edge is designed to channel water away from the edges of the roof and into the gutter system helping to prevent water from seeping under the shingles and causing damage to the roof deck and the underlying structure. A drip edge is an important component of any roofing system and is essential for the proper functioning and longevity of the roof.
7
Metal Drip Edge: Though not pictured in our illustration, we install it on every single roof. The drip edge is designed to channel water away from the edges of the roof and into the gutter system helping to prevent water from seeping under the shingles and causing damage to the roof deck and the underlying structure. A drip edge is an important component of any roofing system and is essential for the proper functioning and longevity of the roof.

Anatomy of Our Roof Installations

Ever wondered what goes into creating a roof that truly stands the test of time? At Absolute Roof & Home Solutions, we believe in transparency – not just in our communication, but in helping you understand exactly what we’re putting over your head. Let’s break down the layers of protection we provide:

  1. Deck Protection: A high-quality underlayment acts as a foundational layer and a secondary defense against water infiltration.
  2. Ice and Water Shield: A special waterproof barrier is applied to vulnerable areas like eaves and valleys for added protection.
  3. Starter Strip Shingles: These shingles reinforce the roof’s perimeter, providing extra protection against wind uplift.
  4. Quality Shingles: Top-grade shingles are used for durability and visual appeal, built to withstand local weather conditions.
  5. Proper Ventilation: Ensuring the attic is well-ventilated extends the roof’s life and improves energy efficiency.
  6. Flashing: Quality flashing is installed around chimneys, vents, and joints to prevent leaks in these susceptible areas.
  7. Ridge Caps: Ridge caps complete the roof’s look and provide essential protection along its peak.

Each component plays a vital role in creating a roofing system that’s greater than the sum of its parts. We take pride in every layer, because we know that’s what it takes to provide you with absolute peace of mind.

Our Process

1. Preparation

The first step of roof installation is to prepare the roof deck and the surrounding area. This may involve removing the old roofing materials, repairing any damaged areas of the roof deck, and installing any necessary underlayment or flashing.

2. Shingle installation

The next step is to install the new shingles. This typically involves starting at the bottom of the roof and working up, overlapping each course of shingles. The starter shingles are installed along the eaves, and the rest of the shingles are installed in a pattern that is determined by the manufacturer’s specifications.

3. Flashing installation

Flashing is a strip of metal or other material that is used to seal the joints and seams on a roof. It is typically installed around chimneys, skylights, and other protrusions on the roof. Flashing is essential for preventing water from seeping through the roof and causing damage.

4. Ventilation

Proper ventilation is essential for the health of a roof. It helps to regulate the temperature and moisture levels in the attic, which can help to prevent problems such as mold, rot, and ice dams. Ventilation can be achieved through the use of soffit vents, ridge vents, and other types of ventilation systems.

5. Finishing touches

Once the shingles and flashing are installed, the roofing team will clean up the site and make any necessary repairs or adjustments. The final step is to inspect the roof to ensure that it has been installed correctly and is ready for use.
